Merian C. Cooper is a filmmaker at RKO Radio who worked in New York in 1933. At some point, during the spring, he hired Fay Wray to appesr for his upcoming film. When Carl Denham was looking for an actress for his film after when Maureen McKenzie pulled out, he suggested hire Fay, but his assistant Preston told him that she was already hired by Cooper, much to Denham's disgust.
