The M1911A1 was a Pre-War Colt Government Model that was used by Benjamin Hayes at Skull Island during the rescue misson for Ann Darrow in 1933.

During the Log Attack when Mr. Hayes, was captured by Kong's grip, he pulled out his M1911A1 model to aim at his eye and told Jimmy to run with Jack. He shooted at model at Kong's eye but was thrown against a cliff and fell to his death in the chasm below.
